“国门之盾”行动期间,天津海关查验处各科室每天都要开一次班前会。会上,关员们交流一下前一天查获案件的特点、情况,把个人工作心得变成整个科室的经验。查验科长常津亭说:“就算‘国门之盾’行动结束了,我们的班前会也会坚持下去。”在查验某些易损或不便装卸的货物时,关员都会钻进集装箱进行查验。有时候,留给他们进出集装箱的通道只有20多厘米宽,这样狭小的空间被关员们戏称为“检验身材的最高标准”。
