上海市本屆中学数学競賽的复賽題里有一道題是只許用圓規把一个圓周分成四等分,这一道題有很多同学做不出來。其实,这道題在“趣味的几何学”里有过,競賽委員会当时沒有觉察出來。据我想,那些少数能做出來的同学,是不是因为看到那本書而得到了解法?这是一个疑問。在这里,我不想去研究那一道題目的解法,因为对於各題的解法,已由競賽委員会請專人負責寫成文章在本刊發表了。我只想对於單用圓規的作圖問題作一般的討論。
In the semi-finals of the Shanghai High School Mathematics Competition, there is a question that only one circle can be divided into four equal parts by compasses. There are many students who cannot do this question. Actually, this question was in “geometric geometry” and the race committee did not notice it at that time. As far as I am concerned, those students who can make up a small number of students are not aware of the book because of the book. This is a question. Here, I do not want to study the solution to that problem. For the solution to each problem, the contest committee has asked the person responsible for writing the article to be published in this journal. I just want to make a general discussion on the drawing of compasses alone.
