众所周知,学习语言的最终目的是为了实现人与人的交流,英语同所有语言一样,是一种交际工具。但目前,应试教育下的英语更强调词、语法的运用,对听、说能力的训练不太重视,再加上当今高校扩招的问题,导致许多进入中专、高职的学生,对英语的学习仅仅是阅读,既听不懂又不会说,学出来的是哑巴英语。随着我国加入WTO、申奥成功、对外交流迅速扩大、经济发展全球化,对人才的外语水平要求更高。为了让学生能适应这种社会的需求,更好地为社会服务,在英语教学中,要有意识的改进教学方法,即要强调词的固定搭配,语法的用法,也要注重培养学生运用语言交际的能力。
