1986年4月21日至24日,英国伦敦大学,韦氏学院的园林专家赖特博士(Dr.T.WRIGHT,WYE COLLEGE,UNIVERSITY OF LONDON),应邀来我院园艺系讲学并进行学术交流。通过讲授和放映幻灯,大家进一步了解英国园林植物的应用与园林设计的原则。英国园林中所应用的植物种类丰富,不论乔木、灌木、藤本和草本植物,有很多是从国外引种的,经驯化育种,培育成适合英国栽培的园艺种。如从我国引进的杜鹃,就是最典型的例子。配
From April 21st to 24th, 1986, Dr. T. Wright, WYE College, and University of London College of Earth Sciences, University of London, UK, were invited to give lectures and conduct academic exchanges in our gardening department. Through lectures and slide shows, we learned more about the principles of the application of garden plants and garden design in the United Kingdom. The types of plants used in British gardens are abundant. Many trees, shrubs, vines and herbaceous plants are introduced from abroad. They have been domesticated and bred to cultivate horticultural species suitable for British cultivation. Du Fu, as introduced from China, is the most typical example. Match
