一、本会定名为水利史研究会,是中国水利学会的分科性学术组织,并在业务上接受中国科学技术史学会的指导。执行机构暂设在北京水利水电科学研究院。二、本会的宗旨是坚持辩证唯物主义与历史唯物主义的基本原理,在党的领导下,联合广大水利史研究工作者,发扬学术民主,探索和总结水利历史遗产,促进水利史学科的繁荣和发展,为水利现代化服务。
