Renal osteodystrophy (ROD) is a bone disease caused by metabolic disorders of calcium, phosphorus and vitamin D, secondary hyperparathyroidism, acid-base balance disorder and other factors in chronic renal failure (CRF). Its a variety of progressive bone disease collectively, due to the slow progress, early clinical symptoms are not obvious, once found is often already late. Studies have shown that ROD is associated with fractures in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) [1] and cardiovascular disease [2], which are important causes of disability and death in patients with CKD and therefore early diagnosis and treatment of ROD is associated with reduced mortality and Important measures to improve the quality of life in patients with CKD.
