Reuse of waste water (sewage) has become a blue ocean for the development and utilization of water resources. However, due to the deep water pollution, residual harmful substances such as heavy metals in the reclaimed water, and endangering food safety, this has become a key problem for reclaimed water for agricultural irrigation. At present, despite the increasing domestic discussion on the utilization of reclaimed water, the thunder and the heavy rains are small and there are complicated factors behind it. Recently, Prof. Qian Yi, a professor of environmental engineering at Tsinghua University and an academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, accepted an interview with Weekly Weekly about the opinions and suggestions on water environment governance in China.
