文化是处于一定社会形态中的人为适应和改造自己生存环境而进行的精神生活产品。文明是标志社会进步的概念；文化是表示社会形态结构的概念，它从精神生活的角度表明社会的构成和不同层面。文化有其物质载体。一个民族的文化在其发展中存在对传统的继承和变革两种趋势。在社会激烈变化时期，对传统的批判往往表现得非常突出。中国传统文化对西方发达资本主义国家有积极作用，但西方社会问题的解决必须依靠社会自身矛盾的正确解决
Culture is a product of spiritual life that people in a certain social form adapt and transform their own living environment. Civilization is a concept that marks the progress of society. Culture is a concept of social structure. It shows the composition and different levels of society from a spiritual perspective. Culture has its material carrier. There is a tendency for a nation’s culture to inherit and transform tradition in its development. In the period of intense social change, the criticism of tradition often shows very prominent. Chinese traditional culture has a positive effect on the western developed capitalist countries. However, the solution to the western social problems must rely on the correct contradictions of the society itself
