美国斯坦福大学医学院和加州大学的科学家生产了一种能治疗革兰氏阴性菌引起的菌血症和内毒素血症的人IgM单克隆抗体。这种人单克隆抗体(McAb)可中和内毒素。抗菌素不能治疗感染,并有可能使大量内毒素释放入血流使病情恶化。据说,这些McAb的最大优点在于能识别各种无关的革兰氏阴性菌共同的分子部分。
Scientists at Stanford University School of Medicine and the University of California have produced a human IgM monoclonal antibody that treats bacteremia and endotoxemia caused by gram-negative bacteria. This human monoclonal antibody (McAb) neutralizes endotoxins. Antibiotics can not treat the infection and may release large amounts of endotoxin into the bloodstream to exacerbate the condition. It is said that the biggest advantage of these McAb is that it can identify a common molecular part of a variety of unrelated Gram-negative bacteria.
