南京市江宁实验小学始建于一九二九年,是江苏省首批省级实验小学,现坐落于风景秀丽的东山脚下,“东山再起”典故的发源地。教职工有220人,在校生达3768人,在校长李洪祥同志的带领下,逐渐形成了“激活教育”的办学特色,形成了“价值引领、生命自觉、成就体验、唤醒潜能”的主流和核心价值观。学生多次参加国际、全国、省市级各项比赛,取得了令人瞩目的成绩。“金蔷薇”民乐团奏响维也纳金色大厅,“繁星”合唱团继在省、市“童心向党”歌咏比赛中获得一等奖后,又代表江苏省参加歌咏活动全国总汇演等等。学校先后被授予全国优秀家长学校、江苏省文明单位、省和谐校园、省绿色学校、省教育科学研究基地、省青少年科技教育先进学校、省体育传统项目学校、省美术教育科研基地。
