每一个数学概念从本质上说都是嵌进了一些数学概念的体系中。它从一些基础数学概念中得来,又为建立别的数学概念作基础。因此,它总是数学概念结构层次中的一个成分,与其它数学概念存在着包含、从属或并列关系。一个数学概念体系,又有一种整体的性质。因此,对于数学概念的理解,从心理学上可解释为要求能将它同化到一个适当的概念结构中去。即
