CD34 / CD56 is a marker complex that has not been studied so far. N-CAM is a neural cell adhesion molecule that has a CD56 antigen that normally appears on lymphocytes that have natural killer cell activity in the peripheral blood. It is known that some acute myeloid leukemia cells and immature leukemia cell lines have CD56 antigens and no CD56 antigens have been found on normal CD34 normal hematopoietic progenitor cells. The authors double-labeled immunofluorescence CD34 and CD56, flow cytometry of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) trace residual disease (MRD) and found that the double marker was expressed in about 20% of childhood AML leukemia cells, and with t (8; 21) (q22; q22) karyotype
