Kenyan Youth Get Self-driven
Promote youth entrepreneurship and particularly the business process through outsourcing is a growing trend Kenya. Lifeworks Shukrani， one of the organizations being supported by the government is carving a niche in the business outsourcing industry.
The organization is supplying products manufactured from Kikoi and Kanga materials to hotels in Kenya and the Far East. In a study done in 2010， in hotels in Kenya， the coast was cited as a viable opportunity for small businesses to sell the handicrafts and curios.
Lifeworks Shukrani， a social enterprise which empowers vulnerable women and older orphans through skills development and linkages to economic opportunities， set up a small textile production facility in 2007 at Mariakani， Mombasa. The facility manufactures items from Kikoi materials for sale to companies， public institutions and Non-Governmental Organizations like Kenya Tourism Board， Voyager， Aga Khan Foundation and Spinners Web.
