除莠霉素A（HerbimycinA）具有广泛的杀草谱，对大多数的单、双子叶杂草的种子萌芽和幼苗生长均有毒杀作用，而水稻对除莠霉素A不敏感。
Herbimycin A has a broad spectrum of herbicidal activity and is toxic to seed germination and seedling growth of most single and dicotyledonous weeds, whereas rice is not sensitive to herbimycin A.
