Food-borne diseases mainly caused by bacterial pathogens and the safety of genetically modified(GM)food have become global con-cerns[1].Asa leading bacterial pathogen,Staphylococcus aureus can not only cause a variety of diseases[2]but also contaminate differ-ent kinds of animal food products[3].In addition,GM foods whose impact on human health and the natural environment is still a mat-ter of controversy have gradually entered the commercial markets[4].Therefore,many countries have decided to implement labeling regulations for authorized genetically modified organisms(GMOs)to protect the consumers\'right to know[5].Hence,it is critical to develop a rapid,simple,equipment-free,and on-site testing method to detect the GM contents in food samples and pathogen to ensure food safety.
