谢勇,男,1958年4月生,湖南祁阳人,教授。1982年湘潭大学哲学系本科毕业;1988年南开大学社会学系研究生毕业,获法学硕士学位;1995年5月起,任湘潭大学法律系主任、法学院院长;1997年4月起任湖南省高级人民法院副院长、湖南省政协常委。2001年8月至2002年3月,赴美考察学习。学术专著有《犯罪学研究导论》、《法人犯罪学》、《美国为什么能成为一个法制国家》等,倡导创办了《湘江法律评论》,发表法律学术论文20篇。1996年6月加入民进,任民进湘潭市委会主委;1997年4月,任民进湖南省委会副主委;2002年6月。当选为民进湖南省委会主委。
Xie Yong, male, born in April 1958 in Hunan Qiyang, a professor. Graduated from the Department of Philosophy of Xiangtan University in 1982, and graduated from the sociology department of Nankai University in 1988 with a master’s degree of law. From May 1995, he served as director of law department of Xiangtan University and dean of law school. In April 1997, Vice President of Higher People’s Court, CPPCC Hunan Standing Committee. August 2001 to March 2002, study tour to the United States. Academic monographs include “An Introduction to Criminology,” “Legal Criminology,” and “Why the United States Becomes a Legal State”, advocating the establishment of the “Xiangjiang Law Review” and publishing 20 legal scholarly papers. June 1996 to join the Progressive, any people into the Xiangtan City Committee Chairman; April 1997, Ren Min into the vice chairman of Hunan Provincial Committee; June 2002. Elected to the People’s Democratic Progressive Hunan Provincial Committee.
