2005年11月26日上午8时49 分,江西九江、瑞昌间发生5．7级地 震。此时,具有百余年建院历史的九 江市妇幼保健院的病房楼出现震动,病 人的心、家属的心都处在慌乱之中。作 为九江市惟一的妇女儿童医疗保健单 位,九江市妇幼保健院的院领导和中层 干部十分镇定,他们首先想到的是妇女 儿童病人这种特殊群体的安全,立即分 头赶往住院部和门诊部疏散病人。全院 职工自发组织帮助行动不便的孕产妇、 手术病人、新生儿病人疏散到安全地 点。
