Pulse TWT for Electronic Countermeasure Hughes Corporation offers a number of anti-electron countermeasure systems for use with broadband kilowatt-class TWTs. Hughes has TWT products in all important frequency bands. Its kilowatt pulse TWT covers frequencies below 18 GHz. Figure 1 shows the typical octave, pulsed high frequency parameters of a helical traveling wave tube that has been used in a typical counter-electron measurement system. These traveling wave tubes use a robust metal-ceramic construction, suitable for use on airborne or missile-borne systems. In addition, they also use a shadow grid electron gun, periodic PM focusing, and energy couplers using coaxial connectors.
