叶梦得是宋代文学史被忽略的人物,是宋代历史研究遗落的角落。在群星璀璨的两宋文坛上,他本应有着重要的地位;在纷争繁复的两宋之交,他原有青史美名。但因为“元祐奸党案”他得罪了当时的文人清流,又因为他秉直不屈的个性和忠君爱国的思想却因“元祐奸党案”而被当时的文人所不齿,难以青史留名。在两宋时期,文化的高度繁盛也使他淡出了人们的视线。但从吴文化研究的角度出发,叶梦得是一个很有研究价值的对象。
