在新中国成立以后的1952年,南京市、苏南地区、苏北地区合并建成江苏省。建省初期,省委在南京西康路33号办公,柯庆施与江渭清、萧望东、管文蔚等分别担任省委书记和副书记。当年,省委把新华日报也搬到了西康路33号办公,我当时就在新华日报主持工作,所以也成为省委办公厅的一员。西康路33号是原美国驻华使馆所在地,我曾率领新华日报编辑部的所有工作人员,在33号门内的环形小广场上,升起了第一面五星红旗。
In 1952 after the founding of New China, Nanjing, southern Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu were merged into Jiangsu Province. At the beginning of the province, the provincial party committee office in Xikang Road, Nanjing Office No. 33, Ke Qing Shi and Jiang Weqing, Xiao Wang, Guan Wenwei, respectively, as the provincial party secretary and deputy secretary. That year, the provincial party committee also moved the Xinhua Daily to Xikang Road 33 Office. At that time, I was in charge of the work of Xinhua Daily and therefore also became a member of the provincial government office. Xikang Road 33 is the seat of the former U.S. Embassy in China. All the staff members who led the editorial department of Xinhua Daily raised the first five-star red flag in the small square in the No.33 door.
