作物进行光合作用,积累乾物質,和有效叶面积的大小有密切关系。測定其各生育时期的叶面积,可以进一步研究不同密度、施肥、灌溉等栽培措施下的光合生产率、光能利用率,从而为提高产量的有效措施提供部份生理依据,并使試驗和生产經驗总結在理論上有所提高。关于测定作物叶面积的方法很多,有方格紙測定法、量側法、分級估計法、取样推算法、称重法、求积仪測定法等,現根据个人工作体会,把这些方法的用法和应該注意的間題介紹出来,供作参考。
