甲烷(CH4)不能与KMnO4酸性溶液反应,而甲苯((?)CH3,相当于甲烷分子中的一个H原子被苯基取代)却可以被KMnO4酸性溶液氧化而生成苯甲酸((?)-COOH)。
Methane (CH4) cannot react with the acidic solution of KMnO4, while toluene ((?)CH3, equivalent to an H atom in the methane molecule is substituted by phenyl) can be oxidized by the acidic solution of KMnO4 to produce benzoic acid ((?)-COOH ).
