I am a Vietnamese overseas Chinese. When the Vietnamese authorities exclued China in 1978, only 10-year-old I took my family’s hand and walked hundreds of kilometers to return to the motherland. This wasted sense of humiliation left a deep impression on my young heart. After graduating from China’s university, I came to Guangxi Foreign Broadcasting Station, which is now the “Beibu Bay Voice” channel.
