弗美尔是荷兰黄金时代最著名的画家之一,其艺术成就现已获得与伦勃朗、梵高齐名的国际声誉,然其在中国艺术界及知识界的影响与伦勃朗及梵高相比还有待于提高,特别是其画作所隐含的特有的宁静气质是其他艺术家所无法比拟的,对今日中国艺术及美学理论的发展也有着补偏救弊的作用。
Vermeer is one of the most famous painters of the Dutch Golden Age, and his artistic achievement has now gained an international reputation as Rembrandt and Van Gogh. However, its influence on the Chinese art world and the intellectual community is closely related to Rembrandt’s and Van Gogh’s Compared with other special artists, the unique serene temperament implied in their paintings is also incomparable to the improvement of the art and aesthetic theory in China.
