闻一多是中国现代知识分子中一个非常独特的存在。在西南联大8年的时间里,他在思想上、行动上发生了巨大转变。他走出书斋来到街头,从学者转变为战士,为民主与进步呼号奔走,最后拍案而起,献出了宝贵的生命。造成闻一多“出走”与转变的原因是非常复杂的,其中包含了经济的因素、性格的因素等,但更重要的是时局危难的现实环境与中国共产党适时的出现与引导。“唐诗课事件”是闻一多思想转变的一个重要的开端,沿着这个线索,闻一多的生命与思想图景获得了更为丰富与复杂的呈现。闻一多的思想转变及其命运,包含着许多深刻的启示,足以引起今天的知识分子关于良知、责任以及他与时代关系的思考。
Wen Yiduo is a very unique existence among modern Chinese intellectuals. In the course of eight years at Southwest United Nations, he has undergone tremendous changes in his thinking and in his actions. He walked out of the study to the streets, turned from a scholar to a soldier, drew letters of call for democracy and progress, and finally sacrificed himself to sacrifice precious lives. The causes of Wen Yiduo’s “departure” and the change are very complicated. They include economic factors as well as personality factors. What is more important is the timely emergence and guidance of the CPC with the current situation in distress. “Tang Poetry Incident ” is an important beginning of the change of Wen Yiduo’s thought. Along this clue, Wen Yiduo’s life and ideological scene have been enriched and complicated. Wen Yiduo’s thought transformation and his destiny contain many profound revelations, which are enough to arouse the thinking of today’s intellectuals about their conscience, their responsibilities and their relations with the times.
