《炫目鸡尾酒》作为一部爱情轻喜剧,讲述了一段发生在北京的跨国恋爱故事。与时下流行的一些类似题材和类型的院线电影——主要是浪漫爱情喜剧不同,《炫目鸡尾酒》叙事的矛盾冲突不是对立性的,而是对位性的。即许多浪漫爱情喜剧在叙事的过程中,一般总要将男女主人公之间的矛盾冲突建立在性格、观念等的对立之上,随着叙事的发展,这种对立会慢慢消弭,直到最后大团圆结局。但《炫目鸡尾酒》并非如此,通观全片我们可以发现,男女主人公之间并未建立起统摄全局的对立性矛盾冲突。与此相反,男女主人公是在对位性的关系之下发展的,而最终他们也走向了一种男主人公称之为“和而不同”的融合之中。如果细加考量,这样的叙事设置也许跟影片所处理的跨国恋爱关系
“Dazzling cocktail” as a love comedy, tells a story of a cross-country love affair in Beijing. Different from the popular films and cinemas of different genres, mainly romantic romantic comedies, the contradictory conflict in the narrative of “dazzling cocktail” is not antagonistic but rather paraphramatic. That is to say, in many romantic romantic comedies, the contradictions and conflicts between the hero and heroine are always based on the antagonism of the characters and concepts. As the narrative develops, the opposition will gradually disappear until the last big Happy ending. However, “dazzling cocktail” is not the case, through the whole film we can find that the hero and heroine did not establish the holistic conflict of opposites. On the contrary, the hero and heroine developed under the relation of sexuality, and finally they also came to a kind of fusion which the male protagonist called “different but different”. If careful consideration is given, such narrative settings may be related to the transnational relationship that the film deals with
