为了研究稻米蛋白质含量的遗传,以不同蛋白质含量的水稻品种进行了四个组合的正反交,测定其后代.F_2的蛋白质含量,呈近似常态分布的连续变异,它的平均值介于两亲之间而偏于某一方.F_2的方差与变异系数,全部组合都大于亲本,说明有可能获得大幅度变异的杂种群体.F_2群体的广义遗传力为39~78%.F_2与F_3上下代相关也是显著的(r=0.515;r=0.635).从这些结果得到稻米蛋白质含量是受多基因支配的启发.F_2的分布显示了有关遗传因子存在着优势效果.从遗传力与上下代相关情况看,早代选择是有效的.
