0 Foreword Since Lundberg and Palmgren have pointed out that the lifetime of a crack under the surface is highly likely to affect bearing life, there has been an improvement in the bearing life assessment of Lundberg and Palmgren. Previous studies of ball bearing damage mainly focused on the improvement of the evaluation method based on the lifetime of internally generated cracks. Therefore, the crack propagation behavior, the occurrence of peeling, etc. failed
