海南岛先后修筑了四个水坠坝,这四个工程采用的土料,既有含粘性较大的玄武岩风化粘土和花岗岩风化粘土,也有页岩风化砂砾土和砾质轻壤土。以往由于我们对土料的特性,尤其是对粘性土料的特性理解不深透,导致施工中出现塑性滑坡,甚至出现流动性大滑坡的失败教训。利用水坠法筑坝,与辗压式或水中例土方法筑坝大不相同。经过辗压后的坝体处于硬塑状态,具有一定强度。水中倒土法筑坝,坝体开始处于软塑状态,干容重较小,抗剪强度也较低。但经过排水固结后,坝体逐渐由软塑状态转化为硬
