GlaxoSmithKline Vaccines Going As GlaxoSmithKline withdraws its vaccine to treat Lyme arthritis due to depressed market demand. The vaccine has been plagued by security issues since it went public three years ago. It has been reported that 905 adverse drug reactions occurred in the two years immediately preceding the launch of the vaccine, including symptoms such as joint swelling and muscle pain. GlaxoSmithKline has stopped researching the vaccine and will withdraw its application for pediatric vaccines.
