近日,济南市崇明寺大雄宝殿新添两幅壁画——《东方琉璃世界》和《西方极乐世界》,成为宗教界与艺术界共同的盛事。两幅3乘4米的巨制,是省内著名女画家刘爰携创作团队历时一年的心血结晶。从东汉时期,我国就有佛寺壁画的传统。自东晋顾恺之在建业瓦官寺的维摩诘像以“轻羸示病之容,隐几忘言之状”名动天下,佛寺渐有请名家题画之风。但从古至今,寺庙佛教壁画均无女性参与,而此次崇明寺壁画全部由女性画家创作完成,开创了女画家绘制大型佛教壁画的先河。更为难得的是,这次壁画创作采用优质油画颜色和材料,
