州林科所青天坪林场的7.27亩葡萄桐试验林。从开始进入盛果期的第四年起,连续十年获得较好收成。平均每亩年产鲜果913.1斤,折桐油51.13斤(按每100斤鲜果折油5.6斤)。经省、州林业部门验收,1983年亩产鲜果1767.4斤,折油98.97斤,创十二生葡萄桐历史最高产量,今年亩产鲜果1557斤,折油87.2斤,是第二个高产稳产的丰收年。葡萄桐是个结果早,寿命较短的农家品种,一般四年开始进入盛果期,六、七年进入高产盛果期,十年以后树势衰老,产量下降。为什么青天坪林场的葡萄桐试验林长期不衰,高产稳产?他们的主要经验是:
