全省同胞们、全省同志们!这是一九五零年的元旦日,这是中央人民政府成立后的第一个元旦日,我在此谨祝大家新年健康!一九四九年中国人民已取得了中国历史上空前未有的伟大胜利,山西人民已获得了全部的解放。因此,我们有了一个无限欢欣、空前愉快的新年,这是中国共产党和毛主席领导的功劳,这是中央人民政府领导的功劳,这是人民解放军英勇奋斗的功劳,同时也是我们全体人民的功劳,全体革命干部、革命职员的功劳;让我们向我们英明的人民领袖毛主席,向领导中国人民革命的中国共产党,向中央人民政府,向中国人民解放军致以崇高的敬礼!我并代表山西省人民政府向全体劳动而勇敢的人民致敬!向为人民负伤的荣誉军人致敬!向全体革命干部革命职员致敬!并向全省所有烈属军属致以最亲切的慰问!
