’98—’99希尔顿中国男子篮球甲A联赛已于1998年12月27日在全国11个城市吹响开场哨,中国最优秀的12支甲A俱乐部球队为争夺国内篮坛最高荣誉开始了历时近5个月的激战。本赛季比赛是中国篮球协会成立后与推广单位IMG签定合同的第一个赛季,也是中国篮球协会运行一年后的崭新赛季。在此之前,中国篮协出台了一系列改革措施,本赛季联赛有以下变化。 其一,参赛俱乐部与往届不尽相同,赛前空军队的退出、吉林东北虎队的幸运递补,加之普遍被行家视为“黑马”的北京奥神队,还有几支俱乐部的“易旗”、调整、重组,使各队实力发生变化,胜负更加难以预料。俱乐部承办比赛也成为本届联赛的一个新变化。往届联赛俱乐部承办比赛者寥寥无几,而今各俱乐部为增加自身造血功能,以适应市场经济的俱乐部独立经营,有一半的俱乐部或与当地体委合作、或是自己独立经营,这也说明各俱乐部的自身建设正趋向成熟。 其二,本届联赛最大的变化是竞赛办法与竞赛规则的改变。本届联赛仍将采用主客场预、决赛制。决赛阶段与上赛季相
