国营五里店农场和双桥农场,在1952年3月带头向全国各地国营农场、农业互助合作组织和农民发起爱国增产竞赛。提出要在提高单位面积产量上,起带头和示范作用;保证各种作物每亩的产量不但都要超过1951年,达到4—500斤,同时还要创造三四十亩地棉花丰产区每亩产籽棉1,000斤的高产量纪录,计划呈报到上级(国营农场管理总局)后得到了批准。
