时间追忆到1997年末,湖北,江西一些较有名气的种子公司、良种场,率先在自办的内部资料上,推出了一条爆炸性新闻:“湖北育溪高中郭景翠老师育出高产大豆新品种——翠扇大豆,经当地科委测产验收,该品种一般亩产550公斤,高产达667.5公斤.且有亩产突破1000公斤的潜力。该品种早熟,夏播生育期100天(有的单位介绍夏播仅75天)。翠扇大豆的育成,将成为世界大豆育种史上的一个奇迹,《农民日报》曾给予公开报道。”
