前言说我关心英语教学,这是事实。如同刚才小川先生所说的那样,我现在担任联合国大学校长的特别顾问。每周至少有四天要到联合国大学本部工作。一到该大学,只要一打开房门,再也不能用日语工作了,就是说要用英语工作。另外,在上智大学每星期有三个上午要给研究生上三节课,上课时有时用日语,有时用英语,但用英语要占百分之八、九十的样子。我上的就是这么一种课。总之,在东京这城市中,用英语生活的地方还相当多,像联合国大学在房门这边用的是日语,而在房门那边就不仅仅是英语社会,而是包括英语、西班牙
