历史与现实是不可分割的统一体,特别是关于我们这个古老而有着从无断裂历史记录的国家中各种史学方面的研究。然而,活跃于20世纪30年代和40年代学术界的食货派,虽然与禹贡派、战国策派、学衡派等同列中国近现代几大著名史学流派之一,却有着诸多史实不清、学术研究不明的情形。因政治成见,1949年以后,在相当一段长的时间内,几乎无人言及他们的学术贡献,而他们的学说也只有在被作为反动学术受到批判才会被提起。
