在水稻盘育苗机械插秧的启示下,我县进行了大面积盘育苗手工插秧试验,取得了成功。实践证明,这种育苗插秧方式完全保留了盘育苗的优点,而又发挥了人工插秧的优势。与机械插秧相比,具有秧苗全根下地、不伤根、穴株数匀、没有空穴等特点,能充分发挥盘育苗的增产潜力。据调查,盘苗手插秧的比机械插秧的提早缓苗3天,分蘖早7天,比常规苗手插秧的提早缓苗2天,提早分蘖5天。从而促进了早生快发和安全成熟。1986年,全县共示范盘育苗手插秧面积达2,430亩,普遍取得了丰收。刘二堡镇农民郑延皎,用这种育苗插秧
