In order to popularize Chinese herbal medicine cultivation techniques, promote the application of Chinese herbal medicines, and consolidate and develop cooperative medical systems, this periodical will serialize the “Seminar on Chinese Herbal Medicine Cultivation Techniques.” The preparation team organized by the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau, the Hebei Provincial Health Bureau, the Shanxi Provincial Ji County Regional Health Bureau, and the Yanbei Regional Health Bureau took the responsibility for the preparation of this lecture. It mainly introduces common Chinese herbal medicine cultivation techniques that can be planted and cultivated in most parts of the country. Vigorously developing Chinese herbal medicine is related to the implementation of Chairman Mao’s great task of “putting emphasis on medical and health work in the rural areas” and “preparing for war, preparing for waste, and serving the people” and consolidating and improving rural cooperative medical care. The principle of “all-round development” has been taken seriously and the cultivation of Chinese herbal medicines has been incorporated into the planning of agricultural Dazhai. We must continue to summarize and promote the experience of the “four intercroppings” (intercropping of grain and herbs, intercropping of fruits and vegetables, intercropping of forests and herbs, and intercropping of herbs), and the use of “two uses” (using barren hillsides and using all idle land) to actively promote the cultivation of Chinese herbal medicines. . The use of Chinese herbal medicines in the collection, seeding, system and use is a whole, and it is necessary to closely cooperate with each other to promote each other. In terms of species arrangement, it is necessary to pay attention to the proper cooperation between the annual plant and the perennial plant, and the appropriate combination of the cooperative medical use and the state acquisition of medicinal materials. For varieties without planting experience, they should be introduced at pilot sites, cultivated in small quantities, gain experience, and be gradually promoted.
