我矿岳家山分矿下分南、中、北三个生产区。原设计全部采用无底柱分段崩落法。自1976年矿山正式投产以来,本着因矿制宜、因矿择法的原则,实际应用的采矿法逐渐以有底柱分段崩落法为主,无底柱分段崩落法为辅。但在分矿北区,无底柱分段崩落法(以下简称无底柱法)仍为主要采矿法。 1978年底以前,无底柱法主要用于构造复杂、矿体厚度不大且沿走向变化大、矿岩不稳固的矿段。但基于多种原因及地质构造复杂所致,皆未取得采矿回收和降低贫化的预想效果,成为生产中的一个突出难关。
