This apartment, called “Panzerhalle”, is housed in a historic brick building in Salzburg, the fourth largest city in Austria. The original old factory building has now been transformed into a new and creative gathering place, transformed into a market stall, sharing of work space, specialty restaurants, and this unbelievably bright and spacious loft apartment. In 2015, Viennese construction team Smartvoll won the race to rebuild Panzerhalle, reinterpreting this space as an “attic apartment.” The biggest challenge in the plan is the balance between “expanding the use of space” and “preserving the historical environment,” and how
