2008年岁末,大型新编史诗京剧《赤壁》一把“火”烧旺了北京的京剧演出市场。火烧赤壁的经典故事、大气恢弘的史诗风格、精妙绝伦的优美唱段、梨园名家的联合打造、出其不意的舞美奇观,创下了连演10场、票房飘红的“岁末奇迹”。2月16日,国家大剧院新闻发言人邓一江与总导演张继钢及《赤壁》多位主创、主演一齐亮相大剧院组织的新闻发布会,共同宣布了《赤壁》即将再燃“战火”的消息。3月31至4月7日,经过进一步打磨的《赤壁》再次与观众见面。
