一九五六年我在上海作家协会工作,同事魏绍昌兄送了我两张戏曲演员的便装生活照片,绍昌兄和影剧界人士来往颇多,所以转赠照片并不为奇。我并不喜欢收藏影剧名人照片,然而这两张照片却十分难得,一是评剧演员新凤霞,一是黄梅戏演员严凤英。前者因新凤霞在上海大舞台演出,盛况空前,大有“满城争说《刘巧儿》”之势。而严凤英的《天仙配》,恰在这时由上海电影制片厂拍摄戏曲片后,《天仙配》已风靡沪演,马路连小孩子也会哼两句“夫妻双双把家还”。这两位都是当时戏曲界的风云人物。
