现在存世的画纹带佛兽镜,主要出土于日本古坟时代的墓葬中,其名称源自画纹带神兽镜,是日本考古学术界的重大研究课题。因中国没有这方面的出土发现报道,画纹带佛兽镜极少进入中国考古学术界的视野(图1)。把画纹带佛兽镜引入中国学术文博界的是王仲殊,他在上世纪80年代初就指出:“这些画纹带佛兽镜,就其整个形制和纹饰而言,和画纹带神兽镜是十分相似的,所以,所谓的画纹带佛兽镜是画纹带
