应中国民俗学会的邀请,美国民俗学会现任会长迈克尔·欧文·琼斯(MichaelOwenJones)教授于今年2月来京参加“民族国家的日历:传统节日与法定假日”国际研讨会。会议结束后,应《民间文化论坛》山民先生的热情邀约,琼斯教授愉快地接受了本次访谈。访谈录的第一部分已发表于《民间文化论坛》2005年第二期,以下是关于民俗(folklore)、民(Folk)、民众生活(folklife)、社会习俗(folkways)及民俗学(folkloristics)等关健术语的部分。由于篇幅有限,访谈的内容及相关案例分析都有大量删节。电子信函访谈与相关信息作为附录。
At the invitation of the China Folklore Society, Professor Michael Owen Jones, current president of the American Folklore Society, came to Beijing in February this year to attend the International Symposium on National Calendars: Traditional Festivals and Statutory Holidays. After the meeting, at the warm invitation of Mr. Shan Min at the “Folk Culture Forum,” Professor Jones happily accepted this interview. The first part of the interviews was published in the second issue of Folklore Forum 2005. The following sections are about folklore, folk, folklife, folkways and folkloristics Sections of key terms. Due to limited space, the content of interviews and related case studies have a large number of abridged. E-mail interviews and related information as an appendix.
