于2011年6月下旬和8月下旬调查了渤海中央海区.6月份渤海所有测站底层溶解氧都超过7.0mg/L,饱和度为85%~115%,pH为7.82~8.04.而到了8月份,在渤海西北部、北部近岸水深20~35m的带状区域内出现底层溶氧显著下降并且酸化的现象.溶解氧最低值为渤海北部近岸的3.3~3.6mg/L,只有6月份的44%~47%;相应pH为7.64~7.68,比6月份低0.16~0.20.表观耗氧速率最高和pH降幅最大的测站都出现在渤海西北部近岸海域,累积溶解氧下降5.6mg/L,pH降幅则高达0.29,相当于总氢离子浓度升高1倍.简化的碳酸盐体系与耗氧量耦合分析表明,渤海西北部、北部近岸海域夏季底层低氧以及酸化环境的形成,与赤潮或者周边养殖业产生的生源颗粒在底层水体矿化分解,以及季节性层化现象阻滞海-气交换等因素密切相关.这样严酷并且剧变的水化学条件,是2011年夏季在渤海西北部、北部近岸海域发生海洋生态灾害事件的重要环境背景.
