本文重点收集了《假如美国不存在》中出现的众多美国政治术语来研究政治题材影片中政治术语的翻译问题。影视作品中的政治术语翻译既要遵循影视翻译的原则,还要遵循术语翻译的原则。简要来说,就是在翻译像《假如美国不存在》中的政治术语时,译者必须使译出的政治术语具有准确性、亲观众性和易接受性。对于观众熟知程度有差异的术语也要采取不同的翻译方法。
This article focuses on the numerous U.S. political terms that appear in “Suppose the United States does not exist” to study the translation of political terms in political films. The translation of political terms in film and television works should follow the principles of film and television translation as well as the principles of terminology translation. In short, when translating political terms like “if the United States does not exist,” the translator must make the political terms translated accurate, pro-visible and receptive. Different interpretations of terms that are familiar to audiences are also required.
