Many non-thyroid diseases are known to cause thyroid dysfunction with low T_3 and T_4 syndromes in order to understand the changes of thyroid function in diabetic patients.We used the radioimmunoassay to determine the serum thyroid levels in 186 diabetics and the results are reported as follows. 1 objects and methods normal control group of 40 patients (17 males and 23 females), aged 21 to 64. From the health examination were eligible, no diabetes and thyroid and other related diseases.Diabetic patients group of 186 patients (90 males , 96 females), aged 23 to 70. Diabetic patients were divided into three groups according to the clinical symptoms of laboratory blood glucose and ketone body; light group was the patients with mild glycemia (200 mg / dl 56
