在应用题教学中,要培养学生的逻辑推理能力。推理过程是通过比较、分析和综合、抽象和概括等思维方法来实现的,因此要培养学生的逻辑推理能力,就要从提高学生的比较、分析和综合、抽象和概括等能力着手。使学生掌握算术基础知识是培养学生的初步的逻辑推理能力的前提,而在运用这些知识,培养学生的逻辑推理能力的过程中,又能使学生加深对基础知识的理解。在实际应用中,不仅需要基础知识,更重要的是需要这种能力。因此,教学算术基础知识与培养逻辑推理能力之间的关系是相互依存的、是辩证的。忽视了逻辑推理能力就不能使儿童很好地掌握知识和运用知识。培养儿童的逻辑推理能力除了要讲清算术知识,重视系统的复习工作外,我认为,处理好以下四个关系就能够促使学生的分析和综合、比较、抽象和概括等思
